How many hours do you have on your SAMSUNG DLP?

Post by ServicePro » Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:40 pm

How many hours on your TV? On the old lamp, on the current lamp? things you've done to extend the life of your lamp, etc., etc.?

Also, write the model of your TV, maybe we can put some statistics together and do a poll?

Model HLN5065WX/XAA purchased in October 2004

currently showing 7900 hours on a Philips lamp and going strong. No problems at all with this TV and we love the picture quality.

bruce,
Nice! I bet it's your original Philips lamp! I assure you that most people have issues often with their lamps because they tend to go cheap on the replacement. The general public normally do not know the difference between these lamps and they beleive that a lamp is a lamp.... NOT TRUE! From extensive personal experience I know that Philips is #1, the rest are crap.

You get what you pay for... a true definition of that saying.

I just checked the hours on my lamp and its 11228! It's the original lamp in it. How many hours do these last? Should I get a back-up?

I have a HLP4663XA and had 8926 on my original Philips lamp. I replaced it with a Philips lamp from Discount Merchant and had only 109 hours on it before it went out. I am currently in the process of determining what is causing it to continue to fail. I have a post under " still turns off "

My set is about 5 years old and I only got 18021 hours on the bulb when it burned out. Bummer I had to take some valiums for a day. Ordered a new one from DM took about 15 minutes to change. Wow it looks like new again. Much brighter than the old one. Guess you don't notice them getting dim. Sure am happy again.

Thanks for the site.
