The Boy Scouts of America recently updated its youth protection training, according to the Midlands-based Indian Waters Council.

New requirements are:

Updated Youth Protection Training, including insights from experts and survivors and the latest strategies for recognizing and preventing major forms of abuse. All BSA volunteers must take the new training by Oct. 1, 2018, no matter when they took the previous training. It is available online at www.my.scouting.org and live in-person on the training dates below.
No new leader can be registered without first completing Youth Protection Training.
Effective June 1, adults accompanying a scouting Authentic Jakob Poeltl Jersey unit who are present at the activity for 72 total hours or more must be registered as a leader, including the completion of Youth Protection Training and a http://www.wizardsproshop.com/jason-smith-jersey-c-1_6.html (internal BSA) criminal background check. In support of these endeavors, the Indian Waters Council has announced the following initiatives:

The appointment of a council youth protection Jordan Bell Jersey champion, a volunteer position to provide direction and support to scouting in this area. Serving in this role is Eagle Scout and scout parent Chip Payne, who is the commander of Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
In-person Youth Protection Training. While this required training is available online at www.my.scouting.org, the council will conduct the live training (1.5 hours) on several occasions between now and the Oct. 1 deadline.
Those dates and locations for May, June and July (with more to come in August and September) will be: Saturday, May 12, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (at Program Launch), Zion http://www.rzrest.com/desmond-trufant-jersey-c-1_19.html Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Road, Lexington; at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29; Thursday, June 14; and Wednesday, July 11 at the George Fant Scout Service Center, 715 Betsy Dr., Columbia.
