well it still sounds like the Ballast is arching and does not ignite the lamp...

If this seems to be happening on all inputs, I am leaning more towards this being an issue with your DMD board. Yet if those green blotches are gone, this can simply be an issue with your Digital video board..

Hello, It sounds like this is a textbook ballast issue, I am sure you can replace it yourself. How long have you had this RPTV? If there was never any discoloration or distortion on your screen then I would suggest you try a new ballast!

This is almost always an issue with the lamps ballast, do not get frustrated, if you read many posts you will find it needs to be replaced at least one during the TVs life time. How long has it been since you changed the lamp?

looks like you got the double trouble! most of these Samsung TVs need the replacement of the colorwheel and ballast at some point during their life time, this to me (the clicking) sounds like a ballast issue...
