Re: New Lamp Doesn't Turn On? Try This!
I replaced my lamp and ballast because my DLP HLT5075S turns off by itself while I'm watching it. The TV would go off, the red standby light would blink and I would hear a clicking sound like the ballast is trying to fire the lamp (~4k hours on it). It may do this for 5 minutes or 5 hours but eventu...

Re: Samsung HL-T4675S won't turn on
Since the TV started up, lamp lit, etc. I would plug the set back in and try to get to the service menu to check your lamp hours. This button sequence needs to be done with the TV off. Seems odd that it will not take a command from the remote or the side buttons. That sounds like a circuit board iss...

Re: Samsung HL-T4675S won't turn on
How many hours are on the lamp? Has the lamp ever been replaced? Have you tried going into the service menu? (remote: mute-1-8-2-power, in rapid succession) If the TV isn't coming on, I doubt you will get the service menu, but you can try it. Service menu -- "Options" (which on my set is the default...

Re: Samsung HL-T4675S won't turn on
Are you technically oriented? Have you tried opening up the back of the TV to see if there is an obvious problem like dust accumulation? If you are not comfortable with doing some basic troubleshooting, you might either call Samsung customer service (1-800-samsung) or do an internet search for a rep...

Re: Samsung HL-T4675S won't turn on
talktome, Have you tried pressing the remote power button repeatedly -- up to 50 times -- to see if the TV will respond? I am having an automatic, intermittent, power off shut-down happening to my HLT5075S which started at month 14. Sometimes, when the TV turns itself back on and I power it off, it ...

Re: Ballast or Lamp or Something Worse?
Similar problem here: Samsung DLP HLT5075S, began turning itself off randomly two months after warranty expired. Standby/Temp light blinks, clicking sound, but no lamp fire-up; may do this for a few minutes or a few hours, then the TV will come back on. The set may work for 5 minutes or 5 hours (per...
