could be an issue with the ballast. could be the high pitch of a capasitor. I am guessing you need a new ballast and a new lamp. These sets are known to have issues with the digital boards so you should be able to find used parts on DM or on ebay for not that much money. find the part number on www....

I am guessing it could be the digital board. if you hit your menu buttons does the menu show up file or do the green lines show up in the menu? if they show on the menu then I would say dmd board but if they are not showing up on the menu screens then i would say digital board.

Re: Help with HL56A65
It could be the color wheel, ballast or power supply. One of the 3. If the color wheel slows down then it will turn off. Look for swollen capasitors in the ballast or power supply. Thats one way to see an issue. Sometimes you can't see. Bad capasitors can be swollen, bumped up on the top, leaking. I...

Re: DLP shutoff on model Samsung HLS5687WX DLP?
you could try a replacement ballast and a replacement power supply. Most likely it will be less for you to replace both then what it would cost for a tech to do it. if you do have a tech look at it. It will be less if you take the tv to the shop. Most places charge like 75 to show up at your house.
