I replaced the digital board not the DMD board. So that may be the problem. Man big money for hopes and dreams.

Ok people, after finally replacing the mega dollar digital board, I have the same problem. After I try to return the board the next thing is to replace the little fan by the board. It appears not to be working at all. If anyone can come up with a better idea I sure would appreciate it. Otherwise it ...

K took it all apart and it is almost as clean as it was from the factory. Same problem. I guess i'll try the board. Thanks

I vacuumed everything in there. Where exactly is the light engine? Where is the DMD board? Can you help me out with a part number for the board? I might just replace it. Thanks

Nope, no menu is displayed when the picture goes. It still appears to be a heat issue although the fan is working fine. The longer I leave the tv off after the picture goes, the longer it seems to stay on. The screen doesn't totally go black if you can imagine that, the lamp still illuminates the sc...

Thanks for the info i'll try that and keep ya posted. TV is approx. 4-5 years old and I have never changed the lamp. I just cleaned the entire back also. I've reset the timer which had damn near 14,000 hrs. I'll let ya know giving her a test drive now. :D
