I'm not sure what board you need but be aware that discounttvparts.com sells USED boards.
If that's what you're looking for great, but I thought I was buying new and they only refund you 70% minus shipping when you "make a mistake".
Good luck!

There should be a safety switch activated by the back panel/lamp cover - if the switch isn't activated the TV will remain off. Look like you're right!
See section 8, 8.2 "Power LED Flashing timing table" in your service manual... according to that the fans should be the issue.
Wish my service manual was this easy to read!
Let me know how it goes.

Yeah, not only color but black-white gradients too.
The index delay seems only to effect actual color gradients (red, green, blue) - can anyone confirm/disclaim this?

For most models you can reset the TV by turning it off and while it's off holding down the power button for several seconds (try 30 to be on the safe side). Some models require you to reset the lamp... for more on that see this link: http://www.fixya.com/support/t363695-projection_lamp_timer_reset I...

I was FINALLY able to figure out how to upload the video I took (had to figure out the whole HD thing - lesser quality vids are too pixelated to see the distortion). Well, I went into the service menu. My factory index delay was set to 61. Re: PANASONIC DLP TV NO PICTURE/SOUND
If your model is like mine there's a small "lamp cover switch" that has to be pushed by the back panel in order for the lamp to come on.
Sometimes the backing can get warped, so try taping the switch pushed all the way forward or back.
If that doesn't work it may be a power issue or a bad bulb.

A blown lamp may mean a faulty bulb or bad ballast. If your bulb was under warruntee I'd advise requesting a replacement. Nix on all that!
The distortion is back and so is the contrast issue.
I'm thinking this has got to be the DMD.
I turned the brightness way up and took a video that should show you waht's going on... will post it soon as I can.
Suggestions welcome.

HDMI is a bit grainy and fuzzy (like a picture when the camera is a bit out of focus) and the contrast is very slightly faded - the digitizing (unsmooth color) is also only slight.
