No its not a shadow its a solid bar. I went to the test screen where you adjust the mirror and the + that is supposed to be in the center is off to the left.

How do i get it back to the center?

I have a new post though since the screen isnt centered now there ia black solid line on the right side

ok here we go my girl friend has an Infocus 61md10 which is the same as an RCA. I Fix the melted lens problem now when we turn it on it shows the picture but it has about a 5 inch black bar on the right side from top to bottom. I have tried adjusting the mirror on the front and it makes no differenc...

I think the clip where i bent the pins is on the CBA lamp power board. Do you think that would cause the lamp not to light and cause the 5 blinking lights?

Well she bought a new lamp because it was doing the 5 lights thing and it worked for about a week. Then it burned the plastic lens and had the dark spot in the middle of the screen. So last night i was fixing that and now it wont come back on. I am guessing that the ballest is over loading the lamps...
