Hello

Is the buzz just a buzz or is it like holding up a piece of cardboard up to a spoke of a bike wheel when the wheel is spinning? If is sounds like that it might be the color wheel.

I know how to get to the service menu mute 1 8 2 power but which one of the options do I go into to reset it?

I got home and I tried the TV again just to see if it just fixed itself but it didn't. I found Some componet cables and I hooked them up to the tv and they work just fine. So I have HD and the picture looks great. The new cor wheel makes the picture pop out, but I still do not have access to the DVI...

Yes you are correct all I have is the TV, VCR, and Components the rest are shaded out. I have a DVD/VCR combo so i run the DVD thru the VCR componet and I did not play a DVD to check. Hello, Did the loud sound you heard sound like glass breaking or something to that effect? It might have been the color wheel breaking or the moving part that rotates the wheel broke. Thanks for the tips. Twice in the last two weeks the TV has made a weird mechanical noise, it is a solid pitch like something is going out. I turn it off and wait a few minutes and it is fine the rest of the time. Just reading other discussions I am just getting ready for the worst.

Is there a cheap site online that sells the parts for a Samsung 50 inch DLP HL5063W? I still have the flippy noise when I turn off the TV like the fan or color wheel is hitting something. Any input would be great. Thanks

Does this noise happen all the time or just when you turn off the tv? My DLP sounds like a you stick something in the blades of a fan and it makes the flipping noise after I turn off the tv and the fans lose power.
