Re: Parting out Toshiba Light Engine.

I tried getting some shots tonight, but none of them came out. My wife is going to try and take some shots tomorrow. Basically on those other shots I posted, anything other than grey scale shouldn't be there. Same thing happens with full color video, pretty much blue edging everywhere there's bright...

Re: Parting out Toshiba Light Engine.

I have a thread started in the same section labeled "56HM195 Blue smearing/Ghosting" with pictures if you could help I'd be ecstatic. So far I haven't found anyone with a similar issue, or fix, lucky me.

Re: 56HM195 Blue Ghosting/Smearing

I’ve noticed something else that the set does related to the blue ghosting issue that I’m hoping may help someone else out there narrow down the issue or at least what part of the set to look for issues. When the contrast control is moved up and down the severity of the issue changes. If I turn the ...

Re: Parting out Toshiba Light Engine.

I might be interested in the parts for the 56HM195, but I'm not sure what the problem is with mine yet. What are you selling that particular engine for, and is a functional lamp included with it?

Re: Toshiba 44HM85 Picture Problems (Not coming)

I have a question, what type of problems could one experience form an ageing lamp, I'm not referring to problems with the ballast or lamp powering up specifically I'd like to know if there can be any image related issues. I know with age the picture will dim, but aside from that, what other problems...

Re: 62MX195 Light tunnel

BTW, you we're correct about a chip with tiny mirrors here's a portion of Texas Instruments site about DLP. If you like tech stuff it's pretty interesting. 1. The semiconductor that continues to reinvent projection At the heart of every DLP® projection system is an optical semiconductor known as the...

Re: 56HM195 Blue Ghosting/Smearing

That's funny you noticed the one side being brighter, that's a separate issue I've had for a long time, I didn't think it would show up on the photos. My understanding is that it's the light tunnel being out of alignment. That problem really doesn't bother me too much, you can really only notice it ...

Re: WD57831, "bloom" around bright images

I read on another forum about a similar sounding issue with Mitsu DLP sets. It's caused by a fog, or film build up on some internal components inside the light engine, I can't remember if it was a lens or internal mirror, but numerous owners had and solved this issue with a tear down inspection and ...

Re: Suggest New Topics, Problem and Solution photo

A thread with various pictures of problems, and their fixes, this would have to be done for each manufacturers topics section. These threads would have to be edited by the mods to avoid clutter and to keep the problems and solutions fairly organized.

56HM195 Blue Ghosting/Smearing

I've had this set since about March of 2007, its first lamp blew out in June of the same year, and was replaced under the manufacturers warranty and has been great ever since, under heavy use. I believe it could use a bulb replacement, I checked the lamp hours in the service diagnostic mode and it s...
