ovadoggvo I did double check to make sure that the correct voltage was there 383vdc so the power supply appears to be ok . ovadoggvo There i s no sign of over heating near or on the color wheel . i am guessing that as long as the dmd board is bad there is no other work around until i find another one ? I did try to jumper the ballast to forceit to fire the bulb and it would not , so then i switched it out with a spare b...

ido have a spare ballast and have switched them out with the same result i am asuming that the dmd board is probably shot . the colorwheel spins and it spins free yet the light will not power up .
so maybe the repair shop was correct in saying the dmd board was bad

ovadoggvo Is it quite possible that the problem may not be the dmd board ? the tv starts to boot up you can see the ignitor on the ballast light but then it pauses for a couple seconds and then shuts down only to start again. I know there is a way to force the lamp to fire but that does not fix the ...

i was looking into that but had concerns as the numbers on the back of my light engine don't match the ones there. My question would be does that matter mine are as follows

or is there any way to have the old dmd board repaired?
