Finished the repair and everything went smoothly. It was the color wheel.. one of the pie slices had shattered (and so the housing was full of fun little glass confetti!) The replacement was very easy. The only thing that was annoying was that the color wheel assembly used two awkward square/Philips...

Hi all, I stumbled on this site and I love it so far. What a great resource! Anyhow, I have this HLP6163WX / XAA and I think it has a bad color wheel.
