Re: No Image On Television Set

Re: hd61lpw42 shadow...

In addition to my last post referencing this "shadow", this repair may need to be done by a qualified techinican as the light tunnel is located on the engine and is not exactly easy to do yourself.

Re: hd61lpw42 shadow...

Ok.... what you have here is a light tunnel issue. When you take out the light tunnel there will be a piece of "ALMOST CLEAR" plastic on the small lens which has shifted into the viewing area which is why you can still see the picture behind the shadow. All you have to do is carefully slide it back ...

Re: ballast issue

The life-span of most lamps is 5000hrs., please do the math based on the number of hours your set is actually turned on per day and multiply that by the number of days since the lamp was last changed. If you are at or are exceeding the 5000hrs., then perhaps your lamp is on its way out again and you...

Re: my hlt5075s

OK....while inspecting the color wheel first look to be sure that all of the prisms are present and none are broken off. If that looks good then gently try to spin the color wheel with your finger. It should be free spinning with little to NO drag at all. Please be careful as this part can easily br...

Re: Trouble After Replacing Color Wheel

You may also want to check the position of the lamp-door switch to make sure it is correct as well.

Re: Ballast advice needed RCA M50WH92S

Sounds like the lamp is going bad. These lamps last approx. 5000hrs. which is equivalent to about 2yrs of normal use time. If you can contact the seller and find out the last time the lamp was replaced then you
may have your answer here.
