About two months ago, I would lose the picture and the three front lamps were blinking. As suggested, I replaced the main lamp and life was great. The picture was bright and beautiful. You may have gotten a bad ballast. I would send it back to where you got it from and ask for an exchange. Also, be sure your part #'s match up.

I believe it's your ballast then. If I were you I would locate the ballast part # and call discount merchant. You need to replace it so your lamp will ignite and give you a picture.

I can't say for sure because I'm not there to see it you know what I mean. Because it may not be your DMD board it could be a number of things possibly your color wheel even. So it's really up to you.

I would say go for it! Just use the service manual to guide you. Best case you fix it and worse case it's still broken like you said. Yeah that's a tough one I would have to say most likely your problem lies in the DMD board or light engine. I'd say quit wasting your beer money and just get a better TV make sure it's not a DLP!!! Good luck.

Well it's most likely your Ballast. You can actually take your lamp out of your TV and look at it yourself. You can tell if it's broken or not it's very noticeable. But from what you've said it surely sounds like you need a new Ballast. If you have more information get back to me. Thanks.

The problem could be that your Ballast and lamp wattage are not matching up. You need to check to see if the lamp and Ballast are compatable with eachother. Get back to me with more info so I can help you trouble shoot.

Most likely it's your color wheel. Is it a pretty loud noise? Your color wheel spins around in it's bearings fairly quickly and tends to make a lot of noise when it's going out on you. Please provide more information if you can. Thanks.
