this is how you reset the lamp hour meter 1.- push and hold the PIP (same as play) button in the remote control 2.- push and hold the menu button on the front panel of the tv. 3.- Do both actions simultaneously. Of course you have to be close to the tv to do this: pointing with the remote at the sen...

Re: Sony 60" DLP HDTV

you need to change the light engine.

Whats your TV MODEL?

if your TV is a DLP
Then the problem is with the projector. Its causing to blob some colors.

If your TV is a LCD rear projection.
Then your problem is with the optical block, most probably 1 of the LCD chips is stained.

Re: Samsung HL-S5065W Next Step in Troubleshooting

hi there.... Well the only thing that you haven't change is the power supply... The path is LAMP --> BALLAST --> COLOR WHEEL --> DMD --> POWER SUPPLY Honestly I dont think the DMD is the problem and the only thing left like I said before is the power supply. My opinion is, change the power supply......

Re: samsung HLR4266WX/WAA

does it look like..a "fuzzy"/ blur line? or is it more like a well shaped vertical line?

If it looks fuzzy then the problem is with the light engine system, most probably on the part where the projector goes.

If its a well shaped and sharp vertical line, then is the DMD board.

power supply

Your ballast should be receiving around 340-360 volts.

Try changing the power supply, if this doesn't work, then try changing the ballast.

Re: Need advice on how to proceed

Since you're able to see the menu with out a problem, the problem is with your analog board.

I think that just by replacing it theres a huge chance that your TV can work, if not then is going to be the digital video. But ill first try to change the Analog

Re: samsung HL-T6189S DLP with LED light engine

For what you're explaining, it seems that you need to replace your ballast. This is a common symptom with Samsungs DLP TV's. Basically what is happening is: - Your TV is "turning" ON - Color wheel starts spinning up - Ballast will try to ignite the lamp....FAILED --TV restarts and try's again - Your...

Have you already change your lamp??? Lamps have a life span of 6,000 up to 8,000 hours of usage. Thats like 3-4 years. If you never changed your lamp before, i would suggest to start from there. If you already change your lamp and still doesn't work, it could be a problem with the ballast. Also big ...
