When it's inadvisable to reset lamp timer
Is it true that resetting the lamp timer/life to zero and continuing to use an old bulb can damage the ballast or power supply?

Hi mikro, You can see how many hours your bulb has on the service menu (Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power). Yes, you have to reset your lamp hour meter each time you replace the bulb. If you don't do it the TV will think it has the old bulb and once the maximum lamp life time is reached it will turn Off. HT...

I have a Samsung HL-5065W. Is there a way to tell how many hours are already on the bulb?
And when a new bulb is installed do I have to reset the lamp counter/hour meter?
