Hl-R4667w-wont start

Post by bkeith65 » Sat Jun 06, 2009 3:59 pm

I already replaced the lamp a while back and tv worked great for about 2 months and I had that lamp checked... It is fine....I took a guess and replaced the ballast..no difference. It powers up , fans come on, and the ballast clicks 3 times then all 3 lights come on. When it quit working, it made a very loud single pop and screen went black. I never reset my lamp timer and now when I try to hit mute+1+8+2+power, I get nothing. There is no humming that people always decribe with color wheel, but I have not taken that out yet and can't see it to determine if it is spinning. What else..little blue switch is definitely pushed in..other ideas?

Thanks in Advance!

Brian,

So you say you checked your lamp right make sure because it could be the lamp. Also, do you have any audio at all? Are there any other noises coming from the TV at all?

Yes..I took the bulb down to DM and they checked it out....the only noises are the fans, clicks from the ballast, which cycles 3 times I think and then it "shuts down" fans quit spinning and the 3 lights are on in the front...

You may have gotten a bad ballast. I would send it back to where you got it from and ask for an exchange. Also, be sure your part #'s match up.
