Hello All,
I have a weird problem, hopefully there is someone here who can help me. The story goes like this:
One morning my DLP did not come on. The screen was a dark greenish/blueish color, sound was fine. All the fans worked, the bulb was on. Switched it off and of course you could hear a slight cooling fan noise. After approx. 45 secs. a very loud (compared to the fan noise), high-pitched noise could be heard that would eventually (after 10 secs.) go off. It has been an intermittent problem for the last month. I replaced the color wheel. The bearing on the old one was pretty loud when I spun it, so I guess that caused the noise (?). I was happy that it's fixed, but it's not. It's still the same - no picture.
Tonight I was able to get the picture on once or twice (hit and miss). Once, on the NO SIGNAL screen, the blue part was totally white and the left upper corner blue part (input mode) was pixelated with white dots.
As far as I could gather the info, would it be my DMD board? I just want to make sure. Any suggestion?
Also, where can the part be obtained from?
Thanks for your time!

Hi janoboy,
As you said it's a problem with your DMD board. I didn't find it available anywhere, I just found the complete light engine at discount-merchant.com. You can buy it or wait for the bare DMD board to be available, they receive new parts once a week, but it's just a possibility.
HTH.
