Thanks to this site, I have sucessfully changed the bulb and color light wheel on a HLR 5667 WX/XXA 56" DLP and saved my self tons of cash.
I fired up everything and to my amazement, the TV looked great !!!!
UNTIL ....
Here we go ...
I went to reset the lamp counter (Mute-1-8-2-Power).
Then ......
I did a reset under "Option or Service" (not sure) and now I can not get a signal from my HD-DVR (Directv). The screen says "Option not supported."
Man oh man is there a step by step process to undo what I did ?
Please help point me in the right direction before I spend money on a tech or the Geek Squad dudes.
Thanks in advance !!!
If I need to call a tech to come to my house then so be it.

Re: HLR 5667W HELP !!!!
For the "do-it-yourselfers", my TV made a low humming almost groaning sound and then I heard a small pop and then the TV turned off. The lamp light and then all 3 lights were blinking simultaneously.
I thought the lamp had blown out but "noooooo."
After replacing the lamp and proudly telling the wife to "watch" on how I saved us a service call, I dug deeper and found the color wheel had shattered in half.
Not to be outdone and after watching a few Youtube videos on some dude replacing a color wheel, I said to myself "why not?"
The TV looked GREAT after I replaced the bulb and color wheel. I even did a little clean up while I had the TV dis-embowled.
If anyone needs parts go to http://www.discount-merchant.com/
These people rock and have the best prices and service (and no I am not an employee.)
Anyway, I got into the TV area reserved for the service techs. I did not tweak anything other than Options or Service. I hit some sort of reset and now I am screwed (no signal) and am looking like caca in front of the wife. She had asked me if I knew if I was doing and I said "no" (at least I was honest this time)
If there is a TV service guru who can bail me out - talk to me.
Gracias in advance and may the lottery gods smile your way !!!

I am not sure what I did but I got the TV to work. I unplugged everything - cursed up a storm - and then I fired up the TV and .... everything works.
