Ive noticed my tv is starting to get darker and darker lately the bulp has never been replaced the lamp model for my tv is bp9600677a(P) im not sure if I need a new bulb or not I really dont like raising my brightness and contrass the way I have but lately Ive had no choice can anyone give me an idea on what I should do please and thank you

HI, It is the first thing that goes out on these tvs. If you have the indicator light on the from on. more than likely you just need to replace the lamp.
The guys over at discount-merchant.com actually offer free technical trouble shooting.
I trully think is the lamp. all the symptoms you state relate to that.
