phillips 50pl9126d/37 dlp showing red thermometer
my screen went blank and showed a red thermometer, i have been told the bulb was bad (it does not appear to be bad, although it may well be), do i also have a fan issue? is that what is causing the red thermometer?

Hello!
It can be a Fan that is not cooling the lamp, or the actual thermostat sensor, how long has it been since you replaced the lamp?

it has been over the 8,000 hr life of the bulb, although with the thermometer showing onscreen i was curious if more things were going on, other than just the bulb getting hot and burnin out.
