DNIe chip prob-New DMD bd or re-flow solder?

Post by thoroughbred » Mon Dec 14, 2009 4:03 am

I have the DNIe chip problem on a hlr5067w.

I understand there is a guy in Michigan that re-flows the solder and it looks promising. He charges less than $40 (including the return shipping). Anyone have contact info? And, anyone done the re-flow with success?

I was also looking on DM website for new part but can't seem to find it for my model. I will call them tomorrow, but wanted to know if anyone has the part number for this DLP.

What is the best coices: new part (digital board), self install for or re-flow the three BGE on original digital board.

Comments, suggestions, recommendations....?

Found it as part #aa41-01098B for $139.95 at DM.

I live in SD so I will check it out tomorrow.

Would still like to know if anyone has had success with the resolder method?

well thats not the part number that was on my digital board. now the guy charges 75 dollars with free return shipping to you. if the board is not fixable he refunds 50 dollars of it. the partnumber i show for an hlr5067w is bp94-02084a

I looked at the photo on discount merchant and it's missing the tuner part. it doesnt even had the holder soldered on the board. there is a silver box missing on the left side of the board.i dont think it unplugs like it does on the hlp5067w

I looked aa41-01098b up http://www.samsungparts.com/part_detail ... h%5Fmodel= and it shows it's for a hl-p5067w not sure if it will work in an hl-r5067w but discount merchant has it listed that it does.

here is the link to the ebay page. he has a photo of the digital board if you look it's not the same as discount merchant has photoed. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0415773652

Your right. I pulled mine out of the TV and it is BP41-00237B. Samsung does show this part as a PCB main for an HLR5067W so there must be several variations. I am going DM today and see if they can sort it out. Hopefully they will have one.

well I think there were a few model numbers for the same board depending on the size of tv it was used in. the refubished ones from samsungparts.com all have the part number bp94-02084a and one of the people over at the www.hometheatershack.com ordered it and the part number they shipped them was BP97-01013A and the invoice shows bp94-02084a. from what i see it's the same part.
