Where is a good place to buy the ballast and fans?

Post by Crowguys » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:33 pm

Is there a cheap site online that sells the parts for a Samsung 50 inch DLP HL5063W? I still have the flippy noise when I turn off the TV like the fan or color wheel is hitting something. Any input would be great. Thanks

hey whats up :ugeek: , i recommend you to check this websites www.discount-merchant.com and www.partstore.com i relay on those websites for availability and also on the 1st one DM they have more detailled pics and they can give free troubleshooting on more of the stuff, both are very cool and also i recommend you to investigate more it is only a fan or if its the colorwheel because the diff in price it could be big.

you can also check www.samsungparts.com I don't think it would be the ballast making the noise. also check ebay after checking other places.

Thanks for the tips. Twice in the last two weeks the TV has made a weird mechanical noise, it is a solid pitch like something is going out. I turn it off and wait a few minutes and it is fine the rest of the time. Just reading other discussions I am just getting ready for the worst.

a color wheel can also make a funky sound like that.
