Post by jasononon » Thu Apr 30, 2009 5:01 am

I turned the DLP TV on and it suddenly has no color...
It had color about 30 minutes before and now its only in black and white.

What could it be?

Have you tried to change the input?
Check if the TV menu has no color as well.

the menu is black and white and all inputs are as well...could it be a setting on the tv? or the colorwheel? is there a colorwheel in my tv?

It's most probably a problem with your DMD board. I don't think is your colorwheel, because in that case you would have color. The colorwheel generates red, blue and green colors, so if it was damaged you would see a distortion of these colors. The DMD board is the one in charge of assign the color generated by the colorwheel to the screen.

HTH.
