Hey, So today I ran into some problems with my TV.

It keeps turning itself on and then back off in like, a 30 second cycle.

So since this problem started, I've unplugged my tv.

If I plug the tv in, it powers itself on automatically.

Then 20-40 seconds later, it powers itself off and the red light turns on... the temp/standby light.

Then 20-40 seconds later the green light turns on, it makes the power on sound, and turns on... I get a picture and everthing.

20-40 seconds later it turns back off.... and repeats this as long as I have it plugged in.


So... I have NO idea whats going on here, and would Really appreciate some help

Did you ever get an answer to your post? We, too, are having the same issue. I called Samsung and was informed first that is was the lamp. We bought a new lamp and installed it and it still did the same thing. Then we cleaned it. Still nothing. Then we held down the blue reset switch, still nothing. I called back and another "tech" person told me we had to get a repairman out AND since it's no longer in warranty, we have to pay for it. Our tv is less than 2 yrs. old. This tv sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so disgusted that I'm going to write to the CEO in Korea. He probably won't do anything but, if he does, I'll post the answer here.

Well, live support told me to remove and replace the lamp.

This did nothing for me.

So i'm in the same boat as you. They suggest I bring in a repairman... /sigh.

I get the feeling I'll be better off just buying a new TV.
