Samsung HLP4663WX/XAA with 4000+ hour on original lamp. Recently when the set is turned on the color is distorted (blues look green).
after a few minutes the colors return to normal. Can failing bulb effect color?

a bulb does not affect colors, if you are having color issues its generally affected by the color wheel! you might want to look in to that!

It's time to replace the bulb when it burns out, not anytime sooner.
