Samsung DLP parts?

Post by alan5252 » Sun Nov 14, 2010 4:28 pm

I have a 61" Samsung DLP HLR6156W with a bad chip on the dmd board part#a8904slbt. This chip controls the 3phase motor on the color wheel and i am in need of one to repair the board. I have looked around but haven't found anything. The DMD board part #HLR4266WX. Will all the DMD boards that are from the l6 light engine interchange if they look phically the same or have they made lots of changes so you have to use the exact one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you found a DMD board by the board part number? If you can, it is always best to find a compatible replacement by using a p[art number off the board needing replacement

;) Yes i have found a board and had the television working for about a week and then the dreaded flashing lights. The color wheel just whines at a high rpm. The light or ballast do not work. Sounds like i need a new color wheel. More money down a deep hole!

These Samsung TVs can be frustrating. If you hear the whining sound it is most likely time to replace the color wheel. You should be able to find one online for under $100. I've gotten a lot of Samsung color wheels from discount merchant. Samsungparts is ok too, but they usually don't ship same day. Good luck.
