OK, replaced the bulb and now new. the TV will run for 5-10 minutes and then power down. all three lights on front of the screen are flashing. Does anyone have suggestions on the next step.

the most logical step given the symptoms you describe, I am speculating you are not getting any image distortion, would be to replace the ballast.
If you read some of these Samsung forums it is the #2 problem aside from ballast and will usually give you the details you describe...

Thanks. Looks easy to replace. I should almost replace the color wheel at the same time as well since the TV is apart. What's your take on that?

well as a tech, rule of thumb is that during a DLPs life span those last two consumable parts have to be changed at least once during the lifespan of the TV.
(do some research online and you will find this to be the case) in the long run i think this will save you future headaches...
