Hmmmmmm… interesting, ok, here come the questions.
Do you hear any strange noises coming from the back of the TV? How long ago did you buy the TV? Have you cleaned the inside of the TV in the last 6 moths? Can you see the TV menu perfectly when activated from the remote? Also try hooking up a DVD, VHS or gaming consol to see if the green lines also appear.

i bought the tv second hand 4 months ago. I can see the TV menu perfectly.
at first i was able to play my game console perfectly even though the image when watching tv was full of green lines.
THen i would be able to start playing but either the tv would reset after five minutes or the image froze
i dont think to be hearing strange noises.
and the tv menu and tv guide is perfectly viewable.

I think it’s the video board, check it for any swollen capacitors, they tend to blow up at the top, if there are no visible damaged capacitors then its probably an internal issue and you’ll have to replace it entirely.

I am guessing it could be the digital board. if you hit your menu buttons does the menu show up file or do the green lines show up in the menu? if they show on the menu then I would say dmd board but if they are not showing up on the menu screens then i would say digital board.
