My HL-S4676S DLP just turned off while we were watching. I got a new lamp and installed it and still not working. I checked the plug receptacle on the board that goes to the ballast from the power supply (where the brown & blue wire plugs in). I was looking for something like 300V DC and what I found is 8.9 mV. That sounds like the power supply is bad. When I tested the power supply I had all of the light engine chassis removed and all of the plugs disconnected. Is there anything that I am missing that may effect the output power from this plug? I get the same reading with the tv plugged in and unplugged. With this information is it your opinion that the power supply is bad?

a power supply is a good place to start. check ebay for a used one. also check on discount merchant and on www.samsungparts.com normaly you can find the part number on www.samsungparts then look it up on the other two web pages.
