Picture has grown quite dim - HLP5674W

Post by siestatom » Mon May 24, 2010 9:24 pm

I bought this set new in December 2004 and it's been great. Over a year ago I noticed the picture was losing brightness and I compensated with adjustment but it slowly got worse. I bought a new Phillips bulb from DM about a year ago, hoping that was the problem but it didn't seem to help. It's continued to get worse - to the point of not being able to enjoy the set during the day.
Help!

Same EXACT experience here. New ballast brought it back to life.

For your set, read this thread.

Thank you! I'm going to try replacing it.
