Hi:

I have 50 Inch Sony DLP LCD Projection TV Model KF-50WE610. All of a sudden the picture went off when I turned on (with or without remote) the green light blinks for 1 or 2 minutes and then goes red, when I tried to turn it on again the bottom red light (below the pneumatic switch) blinks for few times and the green light turns red.

Can someone advise me how to fix it. If I have to change the lamp, please give me lamp specifications. Best Buy wants to charge ton of money to come and look at it because my 4 years warrenty expired few months ago.

If you haven't replaced the lamp and your tv is 4 years old is for sure that you need to replace the lamp, these phillips lamps last from 6000-8000hrs so after 4 years old is for sure that you need to replace the lamp just try to turn the tv on and pay attention if you hear any kind of weird noises it could be the lamp and something else if you dont hear any noises so it is only the lamp, hope this info. can help you
