I have a Samsung HL-T5687S LED DLP and suddenly there is no picture. It happened without warning the next time I tried to turn the tv on. I get flashing green lights on the front initially, but no picture. Sound is present. Can someone advise?
thanks

Most of the time this is the initial signs of lamp failure. Check your lamp, Lamps need to be replaced after a while. Depending on the brand of the lamp they can go anywhere between 1 yr to 4 yrs.

I contacted discount-merchant.com and they could not find a listing for a lamp for my model #. Is it described as something else?
thanks again for your input on this....

I paid a "certified" Samsung tech to come look at the tv and it started working....after plugging/unplugging several connectors including the DVI cables to the DMD board and power supply. I was told that there were no fault codes stored in the tv. The next day same symptom, wont turn on...This tv does NOT have a lamp or a color wheel. Has anyone had this symptom and/or solved it..
thanks

Well, Im thinking if you had the tech go check the Tv, why didn't the tech, advise on a possible repair, and more importantly the culprit on the issue your tv is having. You obviously spend some money on that. He should give you proper service and tell you what is wrong. repair guys

The tv started working and there were not any codes stored. The tv quit working yesterday and they are on their way back out to try and diagnose.....

I have a 5 yr old HLP5663W. Recently replaced the colorwheel and all worked fine. Recently the picture goes dark after being on for a while. Still have sound and no warning lights on in front. Lamp is still lit but no picture. Even replaced with new lamp and still same problem. Any ideas what the problem is?
