Samsung DLP blacks out after a few minutes

I have a 50" Samsung DLP that is about 2 and a half years old. A couple of months ago my TV blacked out and you would hear a grinding noise coming from the back of the TV. The 3 lights on the bottom right would also flash. So I purchased a new lamp and a new ballast and installed them. Now the TV turns on and will go black after about 2 or 3 minutes and make that same grinding noise with the lights flashing as well. What do I do??? I really don't want to have to buy another TV with this one being so new. I would greatly appreciate helpful advice.
