Hello,
My DLP has diagonal lines running through the picture. This is happening using all inputs on the TV. However, the lines do not run through the menu when it is displayed. Any thoughts on what the problem may be?
Thanks!!!

hello,
so you tried both digital and analog inputs? (like an hdmi).
Since this does not affect the menu I think the DMD is fine and you might be experiencing an issue with the digital video board.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. After posting, I've done a lot of reading on this site and decided it probably is the digital board. I've ordered one and after I install it, I'll reply as to whether my problem is solved.

OK...........I purchased a new AA41-00851B digital video board from TVPARTSFAST.COM. When I say new, I mean the website specified it was a new board and the man I talked to on the phone when I called to make sure told me it was a new board. Cost was $69.95 plus $8.95 shipping. I received the board boxed well in 2 days. I installed the board and "VOILA", no more lines thru the picture and everything works just fine. Thanks so much for the input and what a great site to have so much info for a person to glean thru.

PS.

I found out that many websites don't necessarily have the correct board listed for your set. The only way to make sure is to take your old board out and look for the number on the board and do a Google search for it.

Good News!!! Hooray!

And yes , due to things like having multiple manufacturing or assembly plants, some TVs actually have different part versions inside the same models. It is always recommended to order by the part number on the board itself, and this requires taking it out! so some people opt to not FIY!

Thank you for posting with me, I am sure this will help someone in the future.
