Samsung HL-R4677W INLAY-TERMINAL?

What's the function of the "Inlay-Terminal" [BP64-00529A] and could it play a role in the set's inability to light the DLP lamp creating a no picture no sound trouble symptom?

The main things that cause the lamp to stop working is:
- the lamp itself.
the ballast
the optical engine, or light engine--whatever you want to call it.
Basically if one of those components is bad, it'll tell the entire TV to stop working.
