So here is the deal, TV purchased in July 2005 and no issues. 2 months ago the lamp blew up and i replaced with a philips branded bulb and housing. Perfect for 2 months. Now I am experiencing random shutdown issues with no normalcy. Sometimes when the tv has been on for 5 minutes and sometimes for 1 hour but just a random shutdown. There are no weird noises just a flickering on the front panel with the LAMP and StandBY/TEMP displays.
I have read about heat sensors, ballasts, door switches (checked), and eveything else under the sun. I was hoping someone can elaborate to what possibly the messages blinking on the front power panel are pointing to and can lend some advice.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Samsung HLP4663w turn off issue
Well, according to your manual (which you can check here: http://fixyourdlp.com/blog/manuals/Sams ... 4dc893.pdf) the blinking leds indicate that the lamp door is not seated properly, however you said you already checked it.
If this is not the problem then could be an overheating issue, try cleaning the internal fans and air vents. Let us know how it goes.
Hope this helps.

Re: Samsung HLP4663w turn off issue
Sorry for the late reply, so I am currently running the TV with it shutting off about after a hour. I checked and dusted the inside of the TV. I am currently running it with the switch for the housing panel taped down and the door off for more ventilation. When it turns off and I turn it back on it does make a engine type noise which reading now I assume is the colorwheel. They TV turns on and I hear sound but no picture for roughly 20 seconds. The entire time this is happening the LAMP button blinks on the front. Typically I will get another hour to 40 minutes until there is another shutdown.
The more I restart the lower the time until the shutdown. Ideas?
