Need some help with this one as I've already searched this forum without any luck.
History: The TV turned off in the middle of watching a program a few days ago and has not turned back on.
Problem: Upon restart it goes through the normal power-up stages but then 5-10 seconds later with the lamp light still flashing, it starts making a whining noise from the center-back of the base of the tv.
I've replaced the lamp with housing, checked the lamp cover lock switch and verified that the fans on the right-back side are working as expected but the lamp never tries to turn on.
It sounds as if a motor is trying to start and then goes to the electric high-pitched whining sound.
The tv stays in this mode for 5 more seconds, then recycles the power and starts this sequence again.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: HLN5065w whining noise on power up
took a guess it was the color wheel, ripped apart the back of the tv and found the wheel in dozens of pieces.
Replaced that piece and everything seems fine except the picture is 1/2 inch higher on the screen than before.
I'm guessing something is not aligned perfectly but it will work for now.
