tv just fired up and for about 2 mins, had a perfect pic and remote allowed me to get into user menu. then screen lost all bright colors but pic still on, just real dark and tv would not respond to any commands from the remote nor would it turn off via remote. have to unplug.

any ideas which part controls remote responses?
