DLP Lamp flicker and dimming normal before burnout

Is this normal or is there something major wrong with my TV :o

Flickers and dimming are normal for older lamps. One day it may just "pop"

You might need a new lamp... it may also be a ballast issue, but the lamp is the cheapest and easiest thing to replace, I'd definitely go with that one first.
