62MX195

Post by cagewarrior » Fri Apr 30, 2010 12:35 am

have a 62MX195 and about a year ago the bulb went out. I got a new bulb from a friend that got one brand new name brand but then got rid of the tv. I put it in and everything worked great. Then like a month later I turned the tv on and everything in the picture gave a red tint. It was like watching a 3D movie (the red and blue kind, not digital) without glasses on.

I called around to local shops and no one wants to work on it because it is DLP and its Toshiba and they say they both suck. They also said it would cost incredible amounts of money.

The more I read on here that many people have similar problems and you can get parts for relativly cheap. I am in Arizona and need help. Like I said this happened about a year ago and the tv has been sitting now for 8 months plus because I did not know what to do.

Just found this site and hopefully you all can help. Thanks so much.

HI!!! if you're going to fix this yourself what i recommend you to do is to check the part # of the board that you want to replace, because if you search by tv model you can see that it would be different parts for the same tv model because most of the manufacturers change components depending of the production line or date probably same year diff. month, once you identify the board w/ part number (P/N) you can go to google and make your seach w/ that part # :ugeek: , hope this helps.

I would love to fix it myself but I dont know what is wrong exactly. Where do you find these parts to buy once you look up the part numbers?

If I did not want to do it myself is there anyone that works on them that does not charge an arm and a legg that knows what they are doing?
