Mitsubishi DLP Sound with no picture
I was just given a Mitsubishi HDtv DLP 65 inch. but when I turn on the tv, there is sound, but there is no picture. The screen is black. I didnt want to trash the tv if its an easy fix. what could it be?

Hi,
We might need a little bit more info.
Is there any lights flashing on the front of the set? If so what are the names of those lights?
Do you hear any kind of strange sounds (clicks, humming or buzzing) when TV tries to turn ON?
If lamp light is flashing, 95% replacing the lamp resolves the issue.

When the TV turns on, its completly blank, as if it isnt on. I can hear the channels switch, there is sound. When I turn on the TV tho, I get a blinking timer light. but thats it.

If lamp is older than a year, I will definitely try replacing lamp first....
