vizio p50hdm flashing red pixels

Post by jemtech » Sun Apr 26, 2009 11:11 am

hello i have a p50hdm and just finished replacing the y and x Sus boards now
every thing works fine the only thing is there are red flashing pixels on the
screen. i read some where that i might have to make a adj..
please help or if you can point me in the right dir.
stefan

The original problem why I purchased the parts was that it just turned off and never came back on. The green LED would flash 10 times and then would stop.

flashing pixels can be a product of a bad sustain board or buffers. Can you be more specific on your repair?

Jemtech,
To me it seems like your Y-Sustain board(most likely) or X-Sustain board are starting to fail.. Read this post here:

And then the red dot post I have here:
http://www.fixyourdlp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=868

I think the 2nd post explains the red dot affect you are posting about.

Good luck!
