Hello all,
I have the HLR5078W/XAA model. The first thing that happened was a loud grinding noise. Replace the color wheel, and while I'm in there I notice the lamp has blown. Replace the lamp.
Turn on the TV and I hear the "click click click" which indicates a bad ballast (you can tell I've done my research). Replace the ballast and the "click click click" continues.
What the hell is next? The thing that bothers me is my color wheel DOES NOT spin up. The only things that turn on are the fans, which means the PSU isn't dead yet? Also, I heard there is a jumper for this color wheel somewhere but I cannot find it anywhere. I even took off the heatsink for the DMD fan, still couldn't find it.
Is the order power -> fans -> color wheel -> lamp?
If so, why isn't my color wheel getting powered on?
I'm thinking it's the entire light engine, which if that's the case I'm returning the parts and trashing the TV. Not worth that much money.
What else is there?!

Re: Replaced Color Wheel, Lamp, and Ballast...nothing!
The order is:
power supply -> DMD -> Color wheel -> Ballast -> Lamp
For my opinion i would change the DMD board

Try the little trick that vZwire was talking about in a few other posts, ended up being my problem as well. Check it out, can't hurt to try it!
