I reflowed the digital board for a hlr5067. After I got everything together and turned it on for the first time, the lamp light came on but no pictured appeared and it powered off automatically after a few minutes. On second power up, I got a picture. All full digital broadcast worked fine, but all analog had the green squares, green lines or all green screen. Since then, I only get a faint glow on a black screen and no audio. Lamp is on but there is no visible picture.
Is there a master reset or reboot. Anyone else have this after reflow. Is there anything else I can do other than buy new board?

Re: Re-Flowed DMB But it Didn't Work, What Now?
sounds like the reflow didn't work for you. you should contact the reflow person and see if they will reflow it again or you. if that doesn't work you will need a replacement digital board. The guy does offer to refund 50 of the 75 if it isn't repairable. look the part up on www.samsungparts.com and then heck discount merchant to see if they have it for less. also there are a few digital boards that will work. BP94-02084A is one of them.

What is this reflow thing all about?

The model number he has is known to have issues with solder joints under the dnie chip on the digital board. normaly a reflow of the solder fixes the issue but sometimes it doesn't fix it and it ether needs to have the solder balls replaced or a replacement board. if you want to read about what issues it normaly fixes. it also fixes if the tv won't power up but the lamp and all comes on but no sound or start up sound with no video or audio. some times a reflow doesn't work but mostly it does.Resist58 wrote:What is this reflow thing all about?
if you read his feedback he even has good reviews saying it worked. I know other people that it worked for and a know a few that it didn't work.
