I bought the above in Jan 2006, replaced the lamp 12/2009. I turned the tv on this morning and am getting a strobing or flickering especially when light colors are displayed. Will flicker for a few seconds then stabilizes but when scene is changed or different angle is used it starts up again. Its as if the contrast is constantly adjusting. Any thoughts on what it could be?
By the way it also happens when playing the DVD.
Any suggestions??

Well after some more investigation I think its the color wheel as there are noised coming from there.
