i just bought a 61" dlp from a friend and the tv worked great when it was at his house. when we got it home there were horizontal lines when the picture came up similar to the ones on this thread. http://www.fixyourdlp.com/forum/viewtop ... =10&t=1501
did something just come loose during the move? my friend said there may be a board loose that i can snap in?? any help would be appreciated.

well this is a sign that the dmd board might be defective, but your friend may have a pint, open your tv and check all the connectors and signal boards to make sure everything is attached and connected correctly.

Before you open it up try this, turn it on and keep it on for a half hour or so. Then turn it off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. After around another half hour plug it back in and turn it on. For some reason doing this for me has worked when my screen starts scrambling up. You may have to do it a few times or extend the shut off times.
