Help Please

Post by gsauls01 » Tue Aug 17, 2010 12:11 am

Just replaced the ballast and it still does not work. The light flickers and the little capacitor flickers. What is my next option?

Make sure that the lamp is placed correctly in the tv along with the housing, there are a couple of positioning sensors, so...push the housing a bit further and the panel that you open has to be closed all the way in before turning tv back on.

I pushed the bulb in as far as it will go and closed the clamp on it. You mean put the back panel on before check ing the TV?

Yes the back panel; along with any other panels will have to be closed all the way in. Other wise the tv, will not turn on. Safety mechanism.

Hi

The lamp it has gas on the inside so the funtion of the ballast is to send an electric arc so the electricity ignites the gas in the lamp (like the fluorescent kitchen lamps), so when you see an electric arc outside of the lamp in this case on the ballast itself it means that the ballast is not working properly, hope this information can help you :ugeek:
