I have a samsung 56 inch dlp. hlp5663wx/xaa
Lately it looks terrible. The resolution looks like the resolution is off and it is not as bright.
Usually HD on this looks great, but lately it looks like the resolution is 1/4 of what it was. It looks terrible.
Could the bulb going bad affect the resolution? I can understand it looking dim but can it affect the clarity?
What could be wrong?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: dlp looks terrible
A lamp provides the "Back light" for the projection, so the only distortion it can cause it the actual brightness. Parts most commonly associated with distortion on the screen can be a DMD, digital video board, or if you have some color disfigures, a colorewheel.
