hi i just purchased my 1st big screen yesterday from an auction. when i got home i plugged it into my wii and after about 30 secs it turned on no problem. today i hooked up the unit to everything else and fired up it up and the lamp light would flash then the timer light would flash then the red stand by temp light would stay on. im not sure what i should do? hire someone to fix it or try to do it myself. but i could definately use some help. or u can tell me i just wasted $200

altima25s2002,
Are you having any problems besides just the lights flashing? Do you hear any odd noises? Get back to me with more information so I can better assist you. Thanks.

it will no longer fire up i ll get sound but no pic then it ill turn off . im just not sure what to test so i dont foolishly waste money on parts that are ok
Re: HL-R6167W
So it could be one of two things if not both. If your a little handy you can actually pull the lamp out of your TV. You will be able to tell if it's broken. It will look burnt, shattered or even cloudy. If your lamp is not broken then it's your Ballast. Your ballast is what ignites your lamp and gives it the power to fire up. So if you can check these things out and get back to me.

If your menu is not affected then the problem is most probably with your digital board. Replacing it should solve your issue.
